Recent House Updated!

The new front porch being built.

We are starting to built the new front porch. The footings are poured and although not pictured, the block has been laid.

The cabinets are where the eat-in kitchen area will be. Towards the top right is the entrance to the master bedroom.

Baby Battle is a...?

We had a cake made with the inside icing being the color of the baby's sex.

It's blue-It's a boy!

Baby Battle is a Boy! We are so excited just to know that everything is developing appropriately and that he is the perfect size! We do not have a named picked out but hopefully will very soon!

Update...

The chimney has been removed and the hole has now been closed up. As of today, although not in the picture, the window has been set in the new den.

The expanded kitchen with the new wall framed up between the new dinning room and kitchen. Also, the ceiling is being reworked to make it flush with the new addition.

We are back!

We are back from our last vacation before the baby comes and had a great couple of days at the beach! There has been some progress on the house since the last post and I plan to update the blog tomorrow with some new pictures!

Part 1 Framing

The new master bathroom and closet: Tub will be on the left, the toilet is enclosed in a closet, vanity will be on the right, and the closet is straight ahead.

Directly on the left is part of the new breakfast eating area, and behind it is the new extension of the office. On the back right part is our master closest followed by the mater bathroom closets to the right front.

Foundation

The foundation is complete as of yesterday and the framers are suppose to start tomorrow morning (that is if the lumber gets delivered. The Termite people came and sprayed today and we are just continuing on with this addition. Alex has also done some demolition to the carport/new den. See pictures below.

More pictures to come in the upcoming weeks as things seem to be progressing quickly. At this rate, we will be moving out sometime next week and plan to be out until the addition in complete.

The closet has been torn apart and the siding has been torn off. We think we discovered a place where the original side door possibly was. Maybe the office was an add on??

12 Week Check Up

Today, Alex and I went for our 12 week check up. Everything went great and the heartbeat was strong and was about 160 beats per minutes (up from the previous 130 beats per minute). I appear to be progressing as expected and have even gained a few pounds. I had lots of blood drawn today and hope everything comes back normal!
